Holly Cormier, Ph.D.

Faculty Advisor

Holly Cormier is the director of the Southern Illinois University Clinical Center and a licensed clinical psychologist. Dr. Cormier was born and raised in Canada and received her Ph.D. from the University of Toronto in 2004. Dr. Cormier has a number of professional and clinical interests including student mentorship and training, community outreach, and clinical practice. With respect to the latter, Dr. Cormier has special interests in working with trauma, disordered eating, and depression. Her clinical practice is heavily influenced by psychodynamic and feminist theory.

Emily Bartholomay, M.A.

Emily is a 5th-year graduate student in the SIUC Clinical Psychology program in the adult track. Her research interests include risk factors for anxiety and depression, including sleep, personality, and cognitive bias. Her clinical interests include cognitive and behavioral interventions for anxiety, depression, sleep, and related disorders. She is also interested in rural mental health and the additional challenges that people living in rural areas face. Emily plans to pursue a career in academia, which would allow her to integrate her passions for teaching, mentoring students, and conducting clinically-relevant research.

Amanda Chamberlain, M.A.

Amanda is a 5th-year first-generation graduate student in the Adult track of the SIU Clinical Psychology program. Her research interests include Acceptance and Commitment therapy, measurement, web-based interventions, perfectionism, anxiety and depressive disorders, and trauma. Clinically, she is interested in working with anxiety and depressive disorders, trauma, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and personality disorders. Her special interests are neuropsychology and assessment. Her professional goals are to work in an academic medical center that allows her to engage in assessment, treatment, case management, consultation, supervision, and continue with some research. Further, she would like to continue teaching and work to make the field more accessible for individuals who are commonly excluded.

Morgan Franklin, M.A.

Network Representative

Morgan is a 4th-year clinical psychology graduate student in the adult track. Her research interests include treatment outcomes, technology-enhanced interventions, and examining processes of change proposed in the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy framework. Morgan has experience working with substance use, obsessive-compulsive disorder, mood and anxiety disorders, and justice-involved youth. Morgan hopes to gain a position with a research-oriented VA, where she may be able to balance her passions for research and clinical work.

Genni is a 4th-year graduate student in the SIU Clinical Psychology program in the child track. Her research interests include neurodevelopmental disorders, executive function, pragmatics, and assessment. Clinically, she has special interests in working with youth with neurodevelopmental disorders and their parents and conducting neuropsychological assessments with children and adolescents. Genni’s career goals include working in an academic medical center conducting research, performing assessments, teaching, and mentoring students.

Caleb Fogle, M.S.

Caleb is a 3rd-year graduate student in the SIU Clinical Psychology program in the adult track. His research interests include intervention processes and outcomes of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), parental psychological flexibility, and chronic pain. Clinically he is interested in applying ACT across various contexts (e.g., inpatient facilities, forensic facilities), as well as exploring other functionally contextual practices. Caleb's career goals include serving the community through a clinically-oriented career, providing consultation, and supervising aspiring clinicians.

Cerella is a 3rd-year graduate student in the Adult track of the SIU Clinical Psychology program. Her research interests include anxiety and mood disorders, as well as intersectionality in intervention research. Clinically, Cerella is interested in working as a practitioner in a state psychiatric hospital.

Lauren is a 3rd-year graduate student in the child track of the SIUC Clinical Psychology program. Her research interests broadly include cognitive functioning in neurodevelopmental disorders, with more specific interests in working memory. Eventually, Lauren would like to pursue a career in a medical center conducting neuropsychological assessments and participating in research.

Monica is in her 3rd year as graduate student in the SIUC Clinical Psychology program’s child track. Her research interests include pediatric psychology broadly as well as an interest in examining parent treatment seeking behaviors for child mental health concerns. Clinically, Monica is interested in working in an integrated primary care setting and/or with children with chronic health conditions

Jenn is a 5th-year graduate student in the SIUC Clinical Psychology program in the Child Track. Her research interests include neurodevelopmental disorders, anatomical correlates of behavior, and executive function. Clinically, she has special interests in conducting neuropsychological assessments in children with medical conditions. Jenn's career goal is to work in an academic medical center and private practice setting performing neuropsychological assessments, engaging in liaison work, and providing clinical supervision.
